With the help of four research techs, they gingerly placed me back into my chair so I could be driven back to the apartment. This occurred late afternoon because they were not certain if the pic line (used for intravenous antibiotics) was going to be removed that day. They decided to leave it in and have me do two more doses.
Once back in my chair, it felt so wonderful to be outdoors and have some fresh air. As brief as it was, it was so needed. They poured me into bed, gave us strict instructions on how to maneuver, and said rest up.
